Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a scheme run by Medicare to provide eligible children with basic dental services. The total benefit entitlement is capped at $1026 per child over a two-year calendar period.

Your child might be eligible for CDBS if all the following applies:

they're eligible for Medicare
they're between 0 and 17 years old for at least one day during the calendar year
you or your child get an eligible payment at least once that calendar year

Please note that orthodontic and cosmetic dental work is not covered by the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
